Nicole Pike- Principal

Nicole Pike

As we prepare to embark upon a new school year at CCMS, it's hard for me to contain my excitement! For the past two years, I have been able to witness first hand all of the wonderful educational experiences and opportunities that take place daily at Clear Creek Middle School.

The teachers work diligently and are truly dedicated to making sure all students learn. This is evident with the academic success of our students and the level of engagement that is visible in every classroom. And the best part is, we will continue to grow and improve even more this upcoming year.

The wise, old saying "it takes a village to raise a child" rings true in the world of education. I firmly believe when all stakeholders (parents, teachers, students, community members) unite and collaboratively work together, our students are able to blossom and reach their fullest potential. As your Principal, I want you to know that you are welcome at CCMS, and we value your input and opinion. Together we are ensuring the success of our students.

With that being said, I'm looking forward to the journey we will take together this school year. With so many wonderful things happening at CCMS, it is beyond a doubt the best place to be! As your principal, I want you to know that you are welcome at CCMS, and we value your input and opinion.

Dear Parents:

As we begin a new year, there are four things that you should know about our school:

  1. Your child's safety, education and emotional well-being are our top priorities and will be at the forefront of every decision we make at Clear Creek Middle School.
  2. We have high expectations for students in both academics and in extracurricular activities. Schools should be a place for students to develop a sense of self, to experience pride in their work and to foster a love for learning and life.
  3. Our faculty will model life-long learning through continuous improvement in content knowledge, teaching strategies and classroom management.
  4. For us to offer the best environment for your child to flourish, we must have your help and support. Please take an active interest in your child's education by finding connections between the curriculum and your family life. Watching television, going shopping, attending church, playing games, and other activities can provide rich opportunities to review and enrich the material your student is learning in school. Remember, parents are the best teachers that a child will ever have.

Sarah West - Assistant Principal

Hello students, parents, and community stakeholders of Clear Creek Middle School. As a proud native of Gilmer County, it is truly a privilege to have the opportunity to serve as assistant principal in the community where I grew up and attended school. I am excited and looking forward to this new adventure at CCMS!

After graduating from Gilmer High School, I received a Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Education degree in Middle Grades Education from the University of Georgia. I later attained my Educational Specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University.

My entire educational career has been spent in Gilmer County. I taught at Gilmer Middle School with a primary focus in Mathematics, and spent a short time at Mountain View Elementary School as the Academic Coach.

I am married to Brady West, and we have two children, Halle Mae and Ty. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, shopping, time spent on the golf course, and watching or attending athletic events.

I look forward to working together as a team with parents, students, and the community to give CCMS students the best educational experience possible while continuing to build upon the great tradition of excellence already established at Clear Creek Middle School.
