CCMS Exam Exemption Policy
Dear parents, guardians and students,
Clear Creek Middle School receives a score from the state of Georgia that is called the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI). This score is comprised of academic achievement and attendance rates. The academic achievement rating is based on the scores that students receive on the Georgia Milestones tests.
Clear Creek Middle School is offering the following incentive to our students to increase attendance at Clear Creek Middle School for the end of the semester exams:
Attendance Exam Exemption Policy:
Students are eligible to exempt semester exams only if they:
-
Are passing the class with no more than 4 excused or unexcused absences, per class for the semester.
-
Have no more than four excused/unexcused tardies (classes start at 7:45) or excused/unexcused early check outs (classes end at 2:45) per class.
-
Have no lunch, chromebook, media center or other fines
|
Conditions:
-
The final exemption form must be completed and returned in order to exempt any exam.
-
Teacher, student and parent signatures are required.
-
It is the expectation that all students at CCMS either qualify for the exam exemption, or take the final exam.
-
If your child is exempt from the final, then the lack of taking a final will not impact your child’s average for that particular class.
-
If the student is required to take the final exam and misses the final exam, only a doctor's notes will be accepted for an excused absence to make up the final exam.
